Refugee Shelter - Sadaqah Jariyah Donation Helping Refugees Build a New Life
By the grace of Allah (swt), The Latina Muslim Foundation was able to purchase a 5,500 sqft building in Tijuana Mexico, located 6 miles from the San Diego border.
Help us convert this 5,500 sqft building into an 8,000 sqft Mosque & Refugee Empowerment Center which will be used as a transitional shelter for refugee Muslims that come from across the world to the Mexican border to gain asylum into the United States!
Due to an agreement between United States and Mexico, migrants who seek United States asylum can remain safely in Mexico until the immigration process is complete. This is one of the main reasons why many Muslims refugees from Syria, Yemen, Ethiopia and other countries travel to Mexico.
Be The Hero for Homeless
Refugees are victims of persecution who flee their homelands in search of hope, justice, and a safe place to raise their families. Most refugees suffer unthinkable tragedies and arrive here with next to nothing. We offer them healing and hope. Not only will the refugees be offered shelter & food, but we will also provide them with medical health checkups, dental care and mental healthcare. We will also be providing free legal aid to gain asylum into the United States.
Refugees will be given skills and job training as well as language development to better equip them for their residency in the United States and allow them to be self-sufficient.
Dawah Center For Locals
There is also a growing population of local Hispanic Muslims that lack resources and a place where they feel safe to practice Islam as a community. This center will also be used and as a Dawah center to educate locals about Islam and will providing a prayer area, Quran classes, food pantry, and offer some medical and dental services.

- Brand new kitchen with feeding area
- Women’s, children and family sleeping area
- Men’s sleeping area
- Family rooms
- Wudu area
- Bathrooms
- Showers
- Classrooms
